Dr. H.M. Bush’s practice, Orthodontic Care of Georgia, has 14 locations throughout central and north Georgia. In the past 17 years, he has treated well over 10,000 patients, and is as committed to providing beautiful healthy smiles with compassion and consideration of each individual’s needs as he was the first day he entered private practice.
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Bush began his formal education at Howard University, where in 1987, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. From there, he pursued his dental education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Dr. Bush completed his General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, receiving his Certificate in General Dentistry. In order to become a specialist in orthodontics, Dr. Bush furthered his education at Howard University Dental School where he earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and completed his Graduate Orthodontic Residency.
To keep up with the ever-changing science and technology in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Bush continues his education throughout the year. He attends conferences and lectures given by world-renowned leaders in the orthodontic community, where he learns about the most innovative ways to improve his patients’ smiles.
In the Community
In addition to his professional affiliations, Dr. Bush is advocate for children at the Mary Pitts Orphanage in Southwest Atlanta and the Macon Methodist Home through his Share-a-Smile program established in 1994. Dr. Bush’s passion for helping children prompted him to extend his Share-a-Smile program to students of the greater Macon and Atlanta public school system. He was recently recognized as a “2010 Volunteer of Year” by the Metro Atlanta YMCA due to his dedication to the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA.
Outside the Office
Dr. Bush resides in McDonough with his wife of 15 years. They have one daughter and two sons. In his free time, Dr. Bush enjoys fitness and exercise, playing golf, fishing, and jogging. An avid sports fan, he also loves cheering on his New York Giants, Rangers, Yankees, and Knicks!
